dyeing...

ok, so i went to the hair salon to inquire about dying my hair a few days ago.  i don't want anything drastic, like a platinum blonde or something of that sort. i simply want to dye it a shade lighter and a little auburn-ish. basically, something that people who didn't see me every 

day probably wouldn't even notice..

my appointment was on a thursday, but i had swimming then too, so i had to run right from swim practice to the salon.  so i walked in and sat down at one of their insanely comfy chairs, and the hair stylist came up and started talking to me. we started talking about the different methods and colors i could get my hair dyed/highlighted, and once i picked out my PERFECT color, she paused and then asked me why my hair was already wet. i explained the situation, and she looked at me through the mirror and gave a tsk-tsk. i sat there, puzzled while she goes on and on about how i can't dye my hair with that much chlorine in my hair, and that in order for the dye to penetrate through the chlorine, she would have to take an extra hour clarifying my hair, and since it was already around 7pm, she couldn't do it that day.  so now i'm stuck with my same old boring hair color until i can make another appointment, probably not for another week or two.. :(
